Govern yourself.
Say a rule out loud. LAWS writes it into law, locks the apps you named, and opens them when you prove you kept your word. Your rules, enforced by your own phone.
For example, you say “No Instagram until I’ve run three miles,” and LAWS enacts: Section 1, Instagram stays locked until you have run three miles.
How it works
Three beats, and then it’s the law.
-
I.
Speak it.
Tap the light and say what you mean, the way you’d say it to a friend. “Nothing after eleven unless I’m at the gym.”
-
II.
It becomes law.
The AI writes your sentence into a precise statute: which apps lock, what unlocks them, and for how long. Screen Time does the locking.
-
III.
Prove it.
Run the miles, get to the gym, do the work. LAWS checks the evidence and the apps open. Nobody else is involved.
Self-governance, not parental control
You write the laws. You are also the one they apply to.
There is no supervisor and no account. LAWS is for adults who already know what they ought to be doing and would like their phone to stop arguing with them about it.
Any rule you can say, it can try to enforce. Laws are numbered, kept in order and plainly worded, so you always know what you agreed to.
From the statute book
A few laws people might pass.
Each one began as a sentence said out loud. LAWS keeps the wording and handles the enforcement.
-
§ 1
Instagram stays locked until you have run three miles.
- Locks
- Unlocks with
- A 3-mile run in Apple Health
- Then open
- For the rest of the day
-
§ 2
After 11 p.m., nothing opens unless you are at the gym.
- Locks
- Every app you named
- Unlocks with
- Being at your gym
- Then open
- While you are there
-
§ 3
No TikTok until two hours of real work on the thesis.
- Locks
- TikTok
- Unlocks with
- 2 hours measured by LAWS for Mac
- Then open
- For 30 minutes
-
§ 4
X stays closed until the bed is made.
- Locks
- X
- Unlocks with
- A photo, judged by the AI
- Then open
- Until noon
Admissible evidence
What counts as proof.
LAWS prefers evidence it can check without asking you anything. When there is none, a picture will do.
-
Your iPhone
What the phone already knows: the time, the day, and whether a law’s hours are in force.
-
Apple Health
Runs, rides and workouts from Apple Watch, Strava, Garmin and anything else that writes to Health. Connect Whoop for strain and recovery.
-
Places
Time spent somewhere you name: the gym, the library, the office. Checked on your phone.
-
Your Mac
LAWS for Mac measures real work time in the apps you choose, so “two hours on the thesis” means two hours on the thesis.
-
A photo or video
For everything else. Show the made bed or the finished dishes, and the AI decides whether the law was kept.
The AI reads only what you send it.
Your rule, and a proof photo if you choose to take one. Nothing else leaves your phone. Health data, locations and Screen Time choices stay on your devices. No accounts, no ads, no tracking.
